i'm currently taking a class on the civil rights movement, and we've been studying a lot about black history in the us. the more we talk about slavery, the more i think about the modern day slave trade and how it still is very much alive and well. i am inspired by the abolitionists of old to take a stand against the atrocity that continues to plague our world.
there is a campaign called not for sale that is committed to ending the slave trade and human trafficking. this campaign was inspired by a book with the same title, written by david batstone. currently, christianaudio.com is providing a free download of the audio version of the book, along with a pdf file of a bible study accompaniment that explores the book and the Bible together.
click here to download the audio book and study guide - i encourage you to listen and read through the guide, considering what role you have to play in the work of abolition: freeing slaves and creating a world where survivors can thrive.
